Some highlights and lowlights of the journey

1999–2001 · Miami, FL

Household Finance (HSBC)

Grade: BAccount Executive

Where I learned to listen and sell, and got my first taste of the corporate world. I did well, but it wasn't for me.

2001–2002 · Coconut Grove, FL

Kiss Café

Grade: FCo-Founder

A high-energy restaurant and lounge I started with my childhood best friend. We were clueless, lost everything and went bankrupt. I call it my Harvard.

2003–2009 · Miami, FL

Absolute Lending Group

Grade: AVice President / Co-Founder

Started a mortgage brokerage with a friend. We ran it together, and I led the marketing. We had an awesome run, until the 2008 financial crisis took us out.

2011–2013

Vida Financial Group

Grade: DCo-Founder

Co-founded a life insurance agency while I scrambled to find something close to mortgages. My heart wasn't in it.

2016–2025 · Atlanta, GA

GlobeHUB

Grade: ACo-Founder

Started a coworking brand back when Atlanta had only about five coworking spaces. We grew it to three locations and sold it in 2025.

2021–2023 · Chattanooga, TN

BedBoss

Grade: FCo-Owner

My GlobeHUB partner and I bought a struggling mattress company, thinking we'd get rich quick. We were in way over our heads, lost a lot of money and sold it back to the original owner.

Born in Brooklyn

Born in Brooklyn to Colombian parents who came to New York in 1969. I owe them more than I can say.

Chapter 02 · Doraville, GA

Raised in Atlanta

Grew up in Doraville and developed a love for the South along the way. I'm somewhat of a country soul.

Chapter 03 · Miami, FL

Learning as I go

In Miami, I opened a restaurant, ran a mortgage company and started SameDayPrinting there. Not every step went the way I planned, and I learned from each one.

Chapter 04 · Atlanta, GA

Back to the Peach

Came home to Georgia and kept building: coworking with GlobeHUB, then real estate with Block-C, with SameDayPrinting along for the ride.
